Does Cardiogram integrate with Google Fit?
Yes, Cardiogram can import certain health data from Google Fit, but there are some important limitations based on your device, the apps you use, and how frequently data is synced.
🔁 How Google Fit integration works
To sync data from Google Fit into Cardiogram:
- Your Wear OS watch must first sync new data to the Google Fit app on your phone
- Your Cardiogram profile must be created using the same Google account that your Wear OS device is connected to
Once connected, Cardiogram can read select data types from Google Fit.
📥 Data Cardiogram can import from Google Fit
- Heart rate (BPM)
- Step count
- Activities from Fit Workout and Fit Breathe
- Sleep sessions (from compatible apps like Sleep as Android)
⚠️ Note: Some third-party sleep, workout, or meditation apps may write to Google Fit but may not be accessible to Cardiogram due to security policies or data type limitations.
🐢 Why data may appear delayed
Some watches only sync periodically or when the device is charging. This can delay how quickly your data appears in Cardiogram.
✅ Tips for more reliable syncing
- Use the latest version of the Cardiogram Wear OS app
- Make sure the Cardiogram app stays open in the background on your watch
- Periodically open the Cardiogram app on your phone to trigger data syncing
- Keep your watch and phone connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
This setup helps maximize your heart rate sampling frequency and ensures data transfers more smoothly.
