Why doesn’t my risk score include more health factors?

We know that health risk assessment involves many factors — from genetics to lifestyle, sleep, medications, and more. While Cardiogram’s Report Card uses key data points like heart rate, activity, and physical profile, it currently does not take every possible health variable into account.

🔍 Why not?

As a third-party app working across many devices, we’re limited by what data we can access consistently and securely. Our algorithm is designed to focus on signals we can reliably measure, such as:

  • Resting heart rate
  • Exercise activity
  • Sleep patterns (if available)
  • Age, height, weight, and sex at birth

We understand this isn’t the full picture — and we’re working to change that.

🚧 What’s coming next

Report Card is under active development, and we’re exploring ways to:

  • Let users submit additional health history, such as prior diagnoses
  • Include more data types over time
  • Personalize scores further as our models evolve
