How are Report Card risk scores calculated in Cardiogram?

Your Report Card scores are calculated using AI that analyzes patterns in your health data, including heart rate, activity, and sleep over time. These scores help you understand how your data compares to users who have self-reported certain medical conditions.

🧠 What the AI looks at

The AI considers up to 120 days of data to create your baseline. It compares your patterns with Cardiogram users who reported diagnoses like:

  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Sleep Apnea

Your data is analyzed weekly, and your scores update every 7 days.

⚠️ These scores are not medical diagnoses and do not replace advice from your doctor.

The AI also does not account for medications you may be taking.

📊 Data points used in your score

The algorithm considers a range of metrics:

  • Resting heart rate
  • Heart rate during sleep
  • Steps taken
  • Exercise minutes
  • Heart rate during workouts
  • Sleep duration
  • Age
  • Height and weight
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Sex at birth

📈 Types of scores

  • Health Score

A general reflection of your overall wellness, based on behavior patterns over time

  • Risk Scores

An estimate of how similar your data is to users with specific conditions (e.g., Diabetes, Hypertension, Sleep Apnea)

These help you spot trends and stay aware of changes, but are not diagnostic tools.

💡 Tips to improve your score

  • Be consistent: Regular workouts and sleep routines help stability
  • Watch for changes: Shifts in weight, activity, or sleep can affect your score
  • Set small goals: Use your insights to improve areas like exercise duration or sleep habits gradually
