Will Cardiogram tell me if I have atrial fibrillation?
Not yet. Cardiogram does not currently diagnose atrial fibrillation (AFib) or any other medical condition.
We are actively working with researchers at UCSF on studies exploring whether wearables can help detect heart rhythm abnormalities and other medical conditions through heart rate patterns.
However, this research is still in its early stages.
What you should know:
• Cardiogram is not a medical device
• It is not FDA cleared
• The app does not diagnose or treat any medical condition
• All information in the app is for general insights and wellness purposes only
We believe wearables have the potential to support better health awareness and early detection in the future. We’re incredibly grateful to participants in the mRhythm Study who are helping make this possible.
What if I’m concerned about AFib?
If you're experiencing symptoms like:
• Irregular or fluttering heartbeats
• Dizziness or shortness of breath
• Unexplained fatigue or chest discomfort
Please contact a healthcare provider. They can run medical-grade tests like an ECG or Holter monitor to check for atrial fibrillation or other issues.
