Using Family Mode
How can I use Family Mode?
Family Mode allows other Cardiogram users to view your data remotely and check in on your cardiovascular health. If you share your access code with someone else, they will be able to see your heart rate patterns and trends on their device.
All family members need a Cardiogram subscription in order to use Cardiogram.
Real-time monitoring is not currently possible due to how syncing works. Data is generally synced from a user’s wearable to their wearable app (Apple Watch to Apple Health, Garmin to Garmin Connect, etc.) and then from that app to Cardiogram.
WearOS and Samsung Galaxy Watch devices: data will be sent in 15-minute batches from the user’s Cardiogram app on their watch directly to Cardiogram on their phone. Furthermore, the user must have Cardiogram open and running in the background on their watch to allow it to take measurements.
Heart rate alerts are not delivered to family members.
Sharing your data with someone else:
- To share your data with someone, make sure they have the Cardiogram app installed on their device.
- Once they have the app, open your Cardiogram app and go to the “Report” page.
- If needed, tap on "See My Score" to unlock the page's features.
- Scroll down to “Share with Family” to view your personal sharing codes.
- Choose one of the codes and click “Share”. You can then send the link to the person you want to share your data with via text, email, or any other preferred method of communication.
- The person receiving your link must click the link you sent and accept your invite.
Open the sidebar by tapping the three lines in the top left corner.
Tap ‘Enter Family Code’
Paste the code from the invite.
To stop sharing your data with a user
- Click the “Report” tab in the bottom center of your Cardiogram app.
- “Under Share with Family,” you will see the users you’ve chosen to share data with.
- To the right of the user’s name, click on “revoke access.”
Seeing someone else’s data after it’s been shared with you
Once someone has shared their Cardiogram data with you, you can view it by switching your view. Complete the following steps within your Cardiogram app.
Open the sidebar by tapping the three lines in the top left corner.
Tap the other person’s name
You can now view their Cardiogram data
